Could someone please explain to me why 34 Montana parents named their daughters Brooklyn or why 12 Montana parents named their daughters Brooklynn?
I can tell you all that I never came across any girl in the New York City Borough of Brooklyn that was named “Brooklyn”.
Guys who came from Brooklyn and now were somewhere else, could have the nickname “Brooklyn” (especially in WWII movies).
Brooklyn is the Anglicization of Breuckelen ( = Dutch for Broken Land).
