There is one thing about PETA that is almost good: the nutball organization sometimes provides such comic fodder that it’s nearly impossible not to be glad that it exists in some fashion. Most recent example: PETA wants Whitefish High School to change its name.
Why? Because the word “whitefish” does not promote empathy for fish. Seriously. Instead, PETA argues, the school should be known as “Sea Kitten High School.” Apparently, the PETA nuts launched a “sea kittens” re-branding campaign in an attempt to convince all of the evil bipedal carnivores that creatures living in the ocean, if known as cuddly sea kittens instead of slimy, scaly fish, are too adorable to munch on.
