Ice Fishing Info?
December 28, 2005 | 4 Comments
From GF Firefly, a Big Sky Blogger that I inadvertently forgot to add to the Big Sky Blogroll (but have since added!):
“I know lots of ice fishermen who would love to be able to find out what the ice is like without driving 100 miles to not fish. I cannot find a single blog or website that supplies this kind of info. Got any advice on how to set something up to make this info accessible?”
So…anyone know if this information is easily obtained, and how to get it?

The Montana Outdoor Radio show takes fishing reports via an email address (see this page. I didn’t poke around that website a lot, but they usually have great info on the air–reports from all over the state. It airs early Saturday morning.
last fishing report was Aug. 28. This is fairly typical, most places end the reports when open water fishing ends.
The trib has a weekly ice report in the outdoors section, but a few days of warm weather can make the difference between 8″ and 4″
Nice link bonkrood!
I don’t currently have reports on my site, but I plan on adding them soon. Click my name to access the site.
