My first visit to Bozeman, I had to fly into Billings, and then drive here. Landing in Billings was, well, underwhelming, but things steadily improved as I drove west and coming down over Bozeman pass, my breath caught in my throat and I literally cried. I lived in Montana for ~six years before I elisted in the navy. While in the navy I traveled to many, many places in the states and overseas and when my enlistment was finished despite several offers to work and live in other places around the country there never was any doubt in my mind as to where I would put down roots.
